2010 Annual Mid-Atlantic Chapter Conference
On Saturday, 20 March, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter convened its 2010 conference. A dedicated group of biomedical writers from several chapters met at the North Bethesda Marriott to learn about publication ethics, the electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD), the business of freelance writing, and the Investigational New Drug application in eCTD format.
During lunch participants enjoyed both networking opportunities and an informative, thoughtful presentation about prophylactic vaccines to prevent cervical cancer.
We thank our distinguished presenters, Cindy Hamilton, PharmD, ELS, past president of AMWA, and Peggy Boe, RN, a well-known and respected AMWA teacher.
We also thank Aimee Kreimer, PhD, of the National Cancer Institute for her excellent luncheon presentation about cervical cancer vaccines. Aimee is generously making her slides available to chapter members (download here).
Planning for the 2011 chapter conference has begun. We welcome your ideas and suggestions. Contact Chapter President Stefan Schuber with your suggestions.
